Call Center Representative

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing superior, personal and professional member service through our telephone delivery channel, consistently exceeding the needs of the members and enhancing financial relationships with the credit union through inbound and outbound calls. The candidate will have a thorough understanding of current job requirements and functions with a demonstrated ability to perform to established standards and expectations.

This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree preferred.

Two years of customer service, call center experience or retail sales related experience.

Clear communication skills with internal and external customers through verbal and written correspondence and the ability to multi-task and move quickly between priorities. Proficiency with PC and PC software — basic working knowledge and ability to utilize a broad range of software programs is preferred.

Member Services Representative IV

The ideal candidate will take an active role in mentoring, training and the development of fellow Member Service Representatives. The candidate will recognize member needs and consistently cross sell Credit Union products. Emphasis is placed on "Wowing" members received through all delivery channels with their knowledge of Credit Union products and services and the understanding of the members needs. The candidate will Identify and refer customers to appropriate staff for further financial advice or planning and perform all routine member transactions in a timely and efficient manner, with accuracy and within credit union guidelines.

This position requires an Associate's Degree from a 2 year college preferred. Three to five years of customer service or retail sales related experience. Three to five years of direct teller experience and the ability to multi-task and move quickly between priorities. Proficiency with a PC and PC software — basic working knowledge and ability to utilize a broad range of software programs is preferred.

Book Keeper

The qualified candidate will be primarily responsible for recording and verifying the daily financial activity affecting the Credit Union and insure that the accounting records and reports are in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and federal credit union accounting guidelines. This includes activity for deposits, check clearings, ACH and other EFT activity, Mortgage program and all other Credit Union activity and programs.

The ideal candidate will assist with, and perform as needed, monthly balancing of all General Ledger accounts as assigned to this position while also providing support as needed for Bookkeeper II, Accountant, and Accounting Supervisor.

This position requires an Associate's degree with 1 year industry specific experience required. This candidate must have an understanding of generally accepted accounting principles as well as excellent customer service skills and have demonstrated ability to work and thrive in a team environment, in addition to a willingness to assist others. Ability to skillfully operate a personal computer including a full working knowledge and ability to utilize software programs a must.

Floating FSA

The qualified candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of financial transactions for the members of the Credit Union. At this level, they will work as a team member, with an emphasis on providing efficient and accurate service while establishing and retaining relationships with members and potential members by providing quality member service and products. Focus will be to enhance member convenience by opening new accounts including all share types after reviewing products, rates and terms with members. The candidate will also respond to member questions (in person, via phone, mail, email or fax) and concerns related to member's accounts as well as researching and resolving account problems.

The qualified candidate must be a High School graduate or equivalent and possess 1-2 years Customer Service Experience and Financial Services Experience. This position requires excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, both oral and written are required.

Ability to maintain the highest degree of professionalism, even under the most trying of situation and possessing a caring nature and a "what can I do to help" attitude is strongly recommended.

Junior Mortgage Originator

The qualified candidate will be responsible for creating and cultivating partnerships and lasting relationships with the area real estate community and our members. The individual will be required to provide consistently high levels of service while assisting members with the mortgage application process. Participation in community organizations and events is expected in order to increase Credit Union visibility, network with existing partners and encourage new relationships.

This challenging position requires a high level of energy and enthusiasm, ingenuity and a willingness to work a flexible work schedule. The individual must have excellent communication skills, sound judgment and the ability to work independently. Excellent presentation skills are a must. A college degree is required along with 2 years of sales related experience. Mortgage sales experience is preferred. Applicant must have own transportation, and a valid driver's license. This position offers a highly competitive commission based compensation plan with unlimited salary potential.

Senior Mortgage Originator

The qualified candidate will be responsible for creating and cultivating partnerships and lasting relationships with the area real estate community and our members. The individual will be required to provide consistently high levels of service while assisting members with the mortgage application process. Participation in community organizations and events is expected in order to increase Credit Union visibility, network with existing partners and encourage new relationships.

This challenging position requires a high level of energy and enthusiasm, ingenuity and a willingness to work a flexible work schedule. The individual must have excellent communication skills, sound judgment, the ability to work independently, and a personality for sales. Excellent presentation skills are a must. A college degree is required along with 3 – 5 years of sales related experience. Mortgage sales experience is required along with a proven track record of creating mortgage sales. Candidate must also have knowledge of conventional loan requirements, desktop underwriting systems, Fannie Mae procedures, and VA and FHA regulations. Applicant must have own transportation, and a valid driver's license. This position offers a highly competitive commission based compensation plan with unlimited salary potential.

Consumer Sales Manager

We are seeking a results-driven leader with a passion for leading people to drive sales results to achieve short and long term goals and objectives. Qualified candidates must exhibit skills with planning, organizing, and directing the activities of the Consumer Lending Department as well as evaluating quality, efficiency and productivity to ensure optimal efficiency is maintained in lending activities. The qualified leader will be responsible for coaching, motivating, and developing the sales team; participating in strategic planning; and providing recommendations regarding the future direction of the department.

The position requires a four-year degree in finance, business administration, or related area with five plus years experience in leading sales teams. We provide a fast paced, challenging, and rewarding environment with a comprehensive compensation and benefit package.

Business Development Professional – Lewis County/Carthage Area

The qualified candidate will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and servicing personal and business relationships in the Lewis County/Carthage area. The individual will be required to provide consistently high levels of service while developing profitable business and branch growth consistent with Northern's mission and branch development plans. Participation in community organizations and events is expected in order to increase Credit Union visibility, network with existing partners and encourage new relationships.
